Various equipment is used in airport operations to meet these standards. These equipment are continually developed to improve efficiency, such as the addition of automatic control systems. These systems regulate equipment operation, rest periods, and provide alerts for malfunctions. At Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the wastewater distribution equipment is equipped with an automatic control system using electronic devices like a programmable logic controller (PLC). However, these systems may not always operate perfectly and may require modifications to overcome certain obstacles
2025-07-14T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Teknik Mekanikal Bandar Udarahttps://journal.ppicurug.ac.id/index.php/jtmb/article/view/1423Analisis Kerusakan Brake Pada Motor Garbarata Bandar Udara Internasional Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II - Palembang2025-07-14T11:52:27+07:00Yenni Arnasyenni.arnas@ppicurug.ac.idCristina Novi Mediaswatinovi.mediaswati@gmail.comDanis Fahrizaldeltaalfanovemberindiaalfa@gmail.com
Garbarata is a walled bridge that connects the passenger waiting room to the airplane door to make it easy for passengers to enter or exit the aircraft. Garbarata is sometimes referred to as an elephant's ladder, because of its shape. In English, the common garbarata is called boarding brigde, aviobridge, or jet bridge.Garbarata type apron drive is designed according to strict industry standards, as well as manufactured with high skill and quality. The construction plan was made as a bridge between the airport terminal building and the airplane door, so that passengers can enter and exit the aircraft protected from rain, heat, wind, dust, reducing the bustle in the plumbing and passenger entering and exiting the airplanes already represented a rigorous inspection. At the airport, escalators are an important device that helps administration at the air terminal, especially to make it easier for travelers to get to their destination plane. Quick handling of escalator damage is very important to maintain the quality of service at the airport. This article presents an investigation regarding "Identification and Resolution of Problems with the Escalator Brake System at Domestic Departures at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang International Airport". This field work practice aims to apply knowledge about escalator maintenance at airports. Escalators at airports function to speed up the movement of passengers to the plane, but passenger safety when using escalators must also be considered. Checking and repairing escalators must be carried out optimally to ensure their suitability. It is hoped that this report will become a medium for knowledge about problems and resolution of problems with escalators and mechanical operations at Palembang's Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport
2025-07-14T11:30:45+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Teknik Mekanikal Bandar Udarahttps://journal.ppicurug.ac.id/index.php/jtmb/article/view/1425Monitoring Kecepatan Fan Dan Suhu Air Basin Bawah Cooling Tower Berbasis IOT (Internet Of Things)2025-07-14T11:52:29+07:00Zulina Kurniawatizulina.kurniawati@ppicurug.ac.idSiddiq Sukma Wardanasiddiqsukma@gmail.comDita Diana Sariditadianas@gmail.com
Cooling towers are a key component in central AC systems that support air conditioning in airport terminals. The current process of checking cooling tower performance is still manual and inefficient. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system that monitors fan speed and basin water temperature in real-time from a remote location. The research method used is Research and Development (RnD), involving the design and implementation of the IoT system. Based on observations and interviews with the mechanical maintenance team, it was found that monitoring is still manual. The study results show that real-time monitoring allows technicians to take immediate action if there is a decline in cooling tower performance. In conclusion, the IoT-based monitoring system can maintain cooling tower performance, ensuring terminal temperatures are controlled and passengers remain comfortable
2025-07-14T11:33:05+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Teknik Mekanikal Bandar Udarahttps://journal.ppicurug.ac.id/index.php/jtmb/article/view/1426Identifikasi Kerusakan Motor Fan Kondensor Menggunakan Metode Kualitatif Terhadap Kinerja Chiller Di Bandar Udara Internasional Hang Nadim Batam2025-08-25T10:33:01+07:00Benny Kurniantobennykurnianto@gmail.comDewa Ayu P.L.P.Wlaksmiputriwijaya@gmail.comFatria Fathan Bagaskarafatriafathan@gmail.com
Chiller is a tool used for air conditioning at the airport, with an important role in cooling the room for passengers, visitors, and employees. This study aims to identify damage to the condenser fan motor using the observation method and analyze its impact on chiller performance at Hang Nadim International Airport Batam. In the visual inspection, the author found a motor current overload alarm on Chiller 4 system 2. The observation method was applied to detect signs of damage and performance degradation in the condenser fan motor. The data collected included visual observation, vibration analysis, and measurement of system temperature and pressure. The results show that damage to the condenser fan motor can result in decreased chiller efficiency, increased energy consumption, and potential further damage to other components. The findings confirm the importance of regular maintenance and periodic inspections to ensure optimal performance of the chiller system, and provide practical recommendations for mitigation and repair of damage to the condenser fan motor
2025-07-14T11:39:30+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Jurnal Teknik Mekanikal Bandar Udara
