Perencanaan Pembangunan Box Culvert pada Access Road PKP-PK di Bandar Udara Rahadi Oesman Ketapang
Abstract
Rahadi Oesman Airport in Ketapang faces issues with the drainage system on the PKP-PK access road, which is not yet optimal due to the absence of a box culvert along the route. This condition causes water flow obstruction, potentially leading to water pooling that could disrupt airport operations and damage infrastructure in the long run. Therefore, this study aims to design a more effective drainage system through the construction of a box culvert with dimensions suited to field requirements. This research employs a quantitative descriptive method by applying hydrological and hydraulic analysis to determine the planned water discharge and the optimal dimensions for the box culvert. Data were obtained through field observations, physical measurements, and relevant documentation analysis. The study results indicate that using a single-type box culvert with a width and height of 1.5 meters each and a length of 8 meters can effectively channel water, thereby reducing the risk of water pooling. With this planning, the drainage system on the PKP-PK access road can be improved to support the smooth and safe operation of flights at Rahadi Oesman Airport in Ketapang.
